Take actions to eliminate problematic or unnecessary plastic packaging by 2025 :

Today, the packaging of the consumer maintenance products market is essentially plastic. In order to reduce our consumption of plastic, we have already packed some of our products in cardboard packaging during 2019 such as dishwasher tablets which allowed us to save almost 9 tons of unnecessary plastic. In 2020, in order to continue this momentum, we decided to launch many other innovative products such as our laundry kit “do it yourself” or our new “Bicarbonate de soude” in totally cardboard packaging.

Furthermore, during 2020, we started two big projects :

-One to find a plastic-free alternative to the water-soluble film of our tablets and liquid capsules;

-A second to solve the non-recyclability of our doypacks and flowpacks.

Our goal is to reach the 100% of reusable or recyclable plastic packaging in 2025.

Take actions to move from single-use toward reuse models where revelant by 2025 :

In 2019, our impregnated wipes and mops, so much loved by consumers, became plastic free by using natural origin’s fibers for our nonwovens (such as viscose or cellulose containing fibers derived from wood) which are FSC certified (fibers derived from sustainably managed forests).

In order to go even further in our approach, in 2020 we have worked to launch a new range of products packaged only in infinitely reusable bottles: for this we have chosen aluminum. In this range, it is to find:

-a hand dishwashing liquid packaged in an aluminium bottle infinitely reusable thanks to a recyclable eco-refill doypack;

-a multi-use spray packaged in an aluminium bottle infinitely reusable thanks to a very concentrated recyclable refill

-dishwasher tablets packaged in a refillable aluminum box with the corresponding kraft doypack for refill

Our long term goal for 2025 is to have no more single-use products (without refill) inducing plastic waste.

100% of plastic packaging to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2025 :

Today, 88% of our packaging are either reusable (household sprays with their refills, laundry bottles to be refilled with their doypacks, or else aluminium pump dishwashing liquid with its doypack) or recyclable (all except our doypacks and our flowpacks).

Due to the drastic increase in sales of our disinfecting wipes due to the health crisis, our percentage of reusable and recyclable plastic packaging sold in 2020 decreased by 4 points because we did not have any technical solution in recyclable flowpacks at that time. Last year, we focused on finding recyclable flowpacks compatible with our disinfecting wipes : and we did it! In 2O21, our disinfecting wipes will be packaged in recyclable flowpacks which is a major technical advance. In order to evolve even more in our fight against plastic, we worked during the past year on recyclable doypacks : our laundry eco-packs, hand dishwasher eco-packs and softeners will be packaged in recyclable doypacks from Q4 2021/S1 2022. Finally, we have been one of the first company to engage in a zero plastic waste initiative called LOOP® in October 2019, and we continue to develop new products every year to enrich this offer.

2025 post-consumer recycled content target across all plastic packaging used : 50%

From 2019 to 2020, we have more than doubled our rate of recycled plastic incorporated in our packaging to reach 21% this year. This nice increase is mainly due to the incorporation of 100% recycled PET in our new hand dishwashing liquids and especially in our best reference (Basilic-Thym hand dishwashing), and also in our new reusable sprays. In order to reach 50% by 2025, we plan to incorporate recycled plastic into all our reusable sprays already on the market, our floor cleaners and our mops and wipes.
